Biology (and Geology) Rocks!

Biology and Geology Rock! is an annual public event that is organised in partnership between Cardiff University and the National Museum Cardiff. It is an interactive event designed to excite, inspire and educate visitors about the vast range of bioscience topics available at the University.

The event is coordinated by Dr Fiona Wyllie, a CITER member from the School of Biosciences. The 2018 event will take place on Saturday October 13th, so put the date in your diaries!

If you want to find out more then click on this link to access the news article from the 2017 event, where children found out about carnivorous plants to fossils to medical dilemma. Participants tried their hand at organ transplant using a life-size Operation game, raced maggots, worked out how big a dinosaur was from its footprint, discovered first-hand how fungi get their spot, and learned the importance of reporting road kill with the Splatter Project.
