On Tuesday 11 July 2017 CITER took their popular ‘blood, bones and gory bits’ workshop to Christ The Kings R.C Primary School in Llanishen, Cardiff as part of the school’s science week. Over one hundred children from reception class and years one, two and three took part in three activities on ‘maggots and their role in wound healing’, ‘bones and organs’ and ‘blood and cells’.

St Phillip Evans R.C Primary School

On Tuesday 16 January 2018 CITER visited St Phillip Evans R.C Primary School in Llanedeyrn, Cardiff to deliver the bones and organs outreach activity. Throughout the morning sixty children in year four took part in this activity learning about the bodies' bones and organs and a "guess how big" session in relation to a variety of body parts. During the "guess how big" session children were given a selection of fruit and vegetables to demonstrate the weight of a human brain.
